With over 10,000 of stock, plus direct access to world leading steel mills, we are able to pass on savings straight to our customers. The buying power of High Peak Steels, together with our forward ordering (available to customers who can forecast their engineering stock requirements) means customers can benefit from more consistent pricing, reducing some of the sudden increases experienced in recent years.
Swift Steel Delivery
Our ability to stock at both High Peak sites and process at Head Office, reduces waiting times for stock supply. Because we have our own fleet of wagons we can respond flexibly and fully to our customers.
Our transport team work closely with the stock managers, ensuring wagons are loaded at the end of the day, ready for early departures the following day to deliver across the UK. On occasion when a customer needs an immediate delivery High Peak Steels have a smaller wagon that can be deployed directly, and whilst there is a surcharge for this, we understand that avoiding delays in production can be vital.

With a long established sales team, the business has built deep knowledge of steel grades, their applications, where alternative grades may be more suited, or save the customer money. We take pride in getting to know your business, building an understanding of your business demands for supply and accommodating these in a positive working relationship.

Steel Stock Availability
The deep engineering stock range of bright and black bar, available in a broad range of sizes and shapes, including many which are heat treated. Visiting products on our website or speaking to a sales advisor we can provide material information to guide each customer, or match your technical specification; where required.
98% On Time and In Full
Our customers are used to 98% on time and in full (OTIF) deliveries. However, before long, our performance delivery becomes normal to them. This is far from normal. Other leading stockholders rarely achieve this and never deliver this consistently. Our customers are in a unique position that when High peaks Steels say we’ll deliver and when, this is precisely what we do.
As a business we have invested heavily in systems, people wagons and customer care, we’ve been doing this for 40 years and have made continual business improvements (and we continue with these to this day), because we know things change and customers are central to our service.

Bar Turning
The option to access our vast range of oversized black bar and turn the product to your exact size, saves machining time and provides customers the exact size of bar required.
Precision Grinding
This techniques provides steel bar with a defined tight tolerance on diameter,
it produces perfect roundness, straightness and a fine surface finish. This prepares the bar for customers final machining.
Complimentary processes to Turning and Grinding

Accuracy
Recent investments in the latest machines that accommodate Carbide cutting technology with Tsune machine will cut materials to within 0.2mm with a finish that does not need facing up.
Speed:
Our new machine technology cuts up to 8 times quicker than any standard band saw machine, improving efficiencies and reducing customer machining time.
Sizes:
Our Danobat machines will cut up to 520mm diameter and with the new carbide blades produce cut pieces three times faster than traditional saws. The largest size High Peak Steels cut is 800mm diameter.
Steel heat treatment
Ensuring you can get to work right away with your steel, we offer hardening and tempering, solution annealing, normalising and stress relieving for your materials order, to your exact required standard.
Critical steel testing
Before you begin machining, let High Peak Steels test your critical steels including Non Destructive Testing, Ultrasonic​ and​ Full Mechanical and Chemical testing ​to your ​precise ​requirements.
