EN1A | 230M07 is a free cutting steel which is suitable for high production use in both automatic machines and CNC lathes. High Peak Steels recommend this for precision Machined Components.
It is a low carbon steel designed for high speed machining for multiple turned ports. A controlled analysis ensures consistent quality and used mainly in the production of repetition turned parts.
EN1A | 230M07 is suited to the production of fittings including nuts, bolts and studs, especially when delicate drilling and machining operations are required. Supplied in the as drawn condition.
It is available as leaded and non-leaded. So where an application requires improved machineability High Peak Steels stock and can supply EN1A with a higher lead concentration. The higher lead content added to this steel makes it ideal for use in precision turned components and intricate drilling and machining operations.
Case hardening EN1A | 230M07 delivers increased wear resistance and offers a superior finish as well as reasonable strength and ductility.
