High Peak Steels, are a family run independent specialist steel stockholder and supplier, trading for almost 40 years.
We serve both large manufacturers and small specialist engineering steel businesses in several sectors, including Automotive, Aerospace, Rail and Renewables.
Our service level of 98% of steel orders delivered on-time and in full is probably the best in the market. This has come from keeping the customer central to our operations.
Delivering to you
Delivering throughout the regions, with specific days dedicated to an area, helps our customers plan when they need stock. Some would say don’t all stockholders do this? Well, yes, but not with the speed and reliability of their own fleet. This is where we’re different. Our routes are planned with customers in mind. Leigh Williams, our Head of Logistics manages the team operations with precision, ensuring customers deliveries go out precisely when promised.
Going beyond this however, we offer a response service for those circumstances when material is needed quickly; this is where having our own fleet comes into its own. We deliver what you want and when you want it the OTIF way, on time and in full.
State of the Art Cutting Technology
Our state-of-the-art cutting technology also enables our production team to coordinate planned cutting in readiness for despatch and delivery. Because we can cut billets to customer’s specification, it can save them production time and allow them to focus on the more intricate engineering in which they are specialists. Especially where they are manufacturing repeatable components.
Our ability to provide a fast response to urgent requirements is also enhanced with the combination of smaller cutting machines available, together with a flatbed sideloader wagon for when a customer just needs that extra support in delivering their project.

Wide range of steel stock
Backed up by a deep range of engineering steel stock, both at head office and at our recently kitted out additional warehouse, we can keep a further 2,000 tonnes of bright and black engineering grades.
There are several stockholders who customers may know, but none focus on bright and black engineering steels quite like High Peak Steels do.
There are many standard grades, such as EN8, EN16 and EN1A. However the addition of EN26W is another example of our specialism. Our extensive range of steel grades is enhanced by stocking flat, round, hex and square bar.
Ultimately, it is this and our purchasing expertise that keeps customers returning. Having confidence that our 40 years of purchasing affords us, our long standing and dedicated team ensures continuity of service and quality of materials.
